SUNDANCE

Scope
Developing a cohesive visual identity for the Sundance Film Festival that captures its core essence: bold experimentation, radical openness, and the relentless elevation of new perspectives.

Overview

This project reimagines the 2024 Sundance Film Festival through a dynamic visual system rooted in the festival’s spirit of discovery. The core arrow motif is derived from the geometry of a sunburst—with each ray representing momentum, direction, and creative energy. The resulting identity positions Sundance as an epicenter where ideas radiate outward and emerging voices find their focus.


Branding

I directed the design and conceptual evolution of the brand, establishing the foundational visual language and core identity assets. As part of the process, I integrated an AI-driven workflow to experiment with rapid prototyping, using generative tools to extend the visual system across diverse physical and digital touchpoints.



What I Learned

Explored how AI can support and expand the workflow, especially in generating mockups and visual variations.
